We cannot control what certain exchanges do, or the times that payments take to arrive from one wallet to another.
Our system is built in a way that queue positions need to be always respected, and participation time cannot be manually extended.
In any case, if you miss a participation due to unforeseen circumstances you will be requeued if payment doesn't arrive before the 24h window, so you will still have a chance to participate if it reaches the front of the queue again.
If your funds are blocked because your exchange has closed withdrawals we suggest that you create an account on a different exchange, convert your coin to a different one, transfer it over to the other exchange, and convert back. That could be faster than waiting for your current exchange to complete a transaction or unblock transactions.
